Aunt Sandy called before her visit and asked if we need anything. I called out, halfheartedly, whacked out on painkillers, "a pony!" Mom relayed it, but I don’t think she managed to relay the sarcasm, because Sandy showed up with a My Little Pony playkit. (Of course, it’s equally likely that Sandy was taking the sarcasm to the next level, like that episode of the Sarah Silverman Program where the gay couples try to out-sarcastic eachother on the subject of Tab soda). We’re going to keep it in the box, because of the small pieces and the nosy cat, but its still a sweet gesture.
